Cari Messick, CPDT-KA, ANWI is a professionl dog trainer dedicated to using positive reinforcement training and teaching owners how to effectivley train their dogs as well as build healthy bonds and relationships with them. 

Cari has been a life-long dog lover.  She persuaded her family into getting her first puppy when she was 6 years old and the rest was history. Since she was always interested in behavior and learning theory, the next step was to pursue an education and career in dog training and has since dedicated thousands of hours to the field.  Below is a summary of her training education and current certifications:

Because there is always something new to learn, Cari continually educates herself by researching new techniques and attending training seminars and conferences given my the most well-respected people in the dog training field such as Jean Donaldson, Patrica McConnell, Kathy Sdao, Ken Ramirez and Sophia Yin.

Cari is a native of Frederick, MD, but now lives in Summit Point, WV with her husband and two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Fletch and Maddy.  When she's not training, she participates with her dogs in a variety of activites including AKC Conformation, lure coursing, K9 Nosework™ and many different training classes.  She is active in the local Ridgeback community and serves as Vice President to the Chesapeake Bay Area Rhodesian Ridgeback Club.
